OLGA FOMICHOVA

BIOGRAPHY

Olga is a graduate of the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine (Kyiv, 2003). She graduated from academic singing as a vocalis in the class of prof. Z.Christich. She took master classes of Alfonso Antoniotzi and Roberto de Candia within the 9th International Festival ‘D’uchi d’Acquaviva’ in Atri, Italy.

Winner of the All-Ukrainian Competition “New Names of Ukraine” (2001), winner of the Grand Prix of International Competition “Art of the 21st Century” (Vorzel, 2004), the 2nd Prize of the International Competition of Vocalists “Alchevsky – Debut” (Kharkiv, 2007). Olga Fomichova is a winner of the prizes of such International competitions of opera singers as «Migliore voce femminile» («Best female voice»), «Amichi della musica» (Atri, Italy, 2008), «Ondina Otta» (Maribor, Slovenia, 2008), in Alkamo (Sicily, Italy, 2009).

Since 2005, Olga has been the main soloist of the National Opera of Ukraine. Since 2004 – soloist of the Kyiv Opera and since 2003 – soloist of the Opera Studio of the Tchaikovsky National Academy of Ukraine.

In repertoire of Olga Fomichova such parties as Violetta in «Traviata», Gilda in «Rigoletto» by Verdi, Rosina in «Il Barbiere di Siviglia», Clorinda in «La Cenerentola» by Rossini, Adina in «L’elisir d’amore», Lucia in «Lucia di Lammermoor» by Donizetti, Liu in «Turandot», Musetta in «La Boheme», Lauretta in «Gianni Schicchi» by Puccini, Queen of the Night in «Magic Flute» by Mozart, Iolanta by Tchaikovsky, soprano part in «St.Matthew Passion» and in «St.John Passion» by Bach, in «Messiah» by Mendelssohn, in «Requiem» by Mozart and many other.
